Like the simplicity of a walk of window and great outdoor seating? This is your place. No frill walk from the Vero Beach area for breakfast sandwich and hash browns  served 9am -11 am daily. Casey's Place, dishing out to Vero Beach since 1981,  has a reputation for an incredible char-boiled burger.

Vero Caffe

3225 Cardinal Dr, Vero Beach, FL 32963 |

Gourmet coffee, homemade baked goods, and … Italian gelato could be the start to a really great day. As Vero beach's little coffee corner, this is a great place to grab a coffee and a snack if you are in the mood for a light breakfast. Or order the ice cream first thing (no judgment) – the owner actually traveled to Bologna, Italy to study the art of gelato and imported two Italian gelato machines. Sounds worth it to me.

Vero Caffe

C.J. Cannon’s Restaurant

Located at the Vero Beach Airport, C.J. Cannon’s restaurant offers a unique dining experience where you can enjoy your meal while watching planes take off and land right from the comfort of the dining room or outdoor patio. Known for its classic American breakfast menu item, including hearty omelets, fluffy pancakes, and Southern-style biscuits and gravy, this family-friendly spot combines delicious food with a relaxed, nostalgic atmosphere. It's the perfect place for aviation enthusiasts or anyone looking for a memorable breakfast with a view.

Right next door to Vero Caffe is Chelsea’s Gourmet Market where you can sit down and have a smoothie bowl, hot breakfast, or cold pressed juice. This little market has a kitchen and salad station in the back and a cute coffee bar in the front.

Kountry Kitchen with Love

Totally off the beaten path this unassuming breakfast stop will give you a home cooked breakfast for reasonable prices. You can get the best breakfast of classic egg platters, home fries, and belgian waffles, the house speciality. I got a biscuit and sausage gravy and let me tell you that plate was full, you will not leave hungry. We also heard that they have the best peanut butter pie. Try at your own risk the slices were generous.

Sisters to Mrs. Mac’s kitchen in Key Largo since 1976, Mrs. Mac’s Fillin’ Station will fill you up with good food. Known for the famous sticky buns, you can also find french toast, omelets and eggzadilla to say the least.

Conclusion to Best Breakfast in Vero

Of course, if you're looking for familiar options, major chains like First Watch and Cracker Barrel are available, but Vero Beach truly shines with its variety of charming, local mom-and-pop spots that are well worth exploring.

On my list for next time are Café 66, Baci Trattoria, and Tasty-O Donuts, which I missed out on. A lot of local places have limited hours, so be sure to check the dates and times before you go.

And after a good meal, I highly recommend a stop at the McKee Botanical Garden for a peaceful and scenic way to continue your day. Or drive up to see the Indian River Lagoon.

Have a great time!
